The observation tower is situated on the peak of Holy Hill above the town of Kadaň at an altitude of 390 metres above sea level. The original observation tower was built at the turn of the 19th and 20th century, however it was destroyed by fire in the 1960s.

Due to the fact that Holy Hill is currently forested, the new viewing platform is elevated 9 m above the original floor. This platform is accessible by a steel spiral staircase that leads through the interior of the steel construction. A stone pedestal, the entrance staircase and concrete columns have been preserved from the original observation tower. The total height of the observation tower is 16 m from the terrain.
